Frequently asked questions
How does the money-back guarantee work?
If you don’t feel your health assessment has given you greater clarity about your health, let us know within 7 days after the health assessment call with your dedicated clinician, and we will refund you in full.
In general, if you are unhappy with any aspect of your membership, please reach out, and we will work with you to make it right. Founding members shape where Calibre goes.
Can I pause or cancel my membership after I sign up?
Yes to both. If you need to pause or cancel your membership for any reason, just reach out to us via WhatsApp, and we'll sort it out.
What happens after I sign up and pay?
After making your first payment, you will get access to the Calibre app, where you can create your account.
Shortly after, you'll receive a welcome message on WhatsApp from the Calibre team, which is your direct line for notifications, alerts, and support questions throughout your membership. Your dedicated clinician will also introduce themselves personally via WhatsApp.
From there, the app walks you through getting set up: booking your lab test at one of our partner clinics, choosing the 5-day window for your lifestyle tracking, and connecting your wearables.
Why is Calibre a membership?
Health isn't a one-off, it's an ongoing journey. Calibre is built around continuous support, regular diagnostic testing, and personalised action plans. This is designed so that you achieve positive health outcomes, improving your energy and protecting against long-term health risks.
What does the first month with Calibre look like?
Here's what to expect, though you set the pace.
Week 1: Onboarding
Complete your detailed health history covering your background, symptoms, lifestyle, and goals
Connect any wearables you use
Book your blood test and lifestyle tracking
Week 2: Comprehensive blood panel
Visit a DocTap clinic in London for a 15-minute appointment to give blood and urine samples
Week 2-3: Lifestyle tracking
Track energy, blood pressure, nutrition, activity, and sleep for 5 days (including a weekend) via the app
This captures essential context that is typically not considered
Week 3-4: Health assessment & personalised plan
Your lab results, lifestyle data, and health history come together in your health assessment
1:1 Clinician call walks you through what's driving your results and where to focus
You receive your first personalised plan, designed to improve your energy
From there, you track your progress in the app. Your clinician and our AI navigator are on hand for support until your first check-in after 3 months.
What diagnostics are included, and how often are they repeated?
Your membership includes two layers of diagnostic testing.
Your annual blood panel covers 50–60 markers across 8 physiological systems, including hormones, fertility markers, and the key drivers of your energy and long-term health. A comparable standalone panel would cost you up to £600, before any clinical interpretation or guidance. This is repeated annually so you always know where you stand.
A six-monthly diagnostic check-in deepens your picture. Your clinician selects the most relevant tests based on how your last six months have gone, whether that means retesting key markers to track progress, or introducing a new diagnostic to sharpen understanding in a specific area of your health. These may include a DEXA scan, VO2 max assessment, continuous glucose monitoring, and more.
How is my blood panel personalised?
Not every marker is meaningful for every person. Some are only relevant given specific health histories, risk factors, or goals. In your onboarding, you'll complete a tailored questionnaire covering your health history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and health goals to determine exactly which biomarkers are included in the panel.
How does Calibre compare with an annual health check?
Annual health checks, NHS or private, test a standard set of biomarkers and hand you a scorecard. After that, you're largely on your own.
Calibre goes further and doesn’t stop at the health assessment:
Deeper diagnostic tests personalised to you, not population averages
Your full story, not just your latest numbers
Causal insight into what's actually driving your health
Personalised plans to improve your energy and long-term health
Always-on care from your dedicated clinician and our AI navigator
How does Calibre compare to a wearable like Whoop or Oura?
Your wearable can tell you something's off, it can't tell you why. Calibre integrates your wearable data with your full health context to give those numbers meaning, and to tell you exactly what to do about them.
We currently integrate with Oura, Whoop, Garmin, and hundreds of other health apps. Integration with Apple Health coming soon.
Who are the doctors and clinicians behind Calibre?
Calibre was co-founded by Dr. Innerhofer, alongside world-class doctors and scientists who care deeply about proactive health. Your dedicated clinicians are fully credentialed and accountable.
Clinical care and interpretation is delivered in partnership with DocTap, a CQC registered care provider.
Does Calibre replace my GP?
No. Calibre is a proactive health membership working alongside your existing care, not a replacement for primary or emergency care. For diagnoses, prescriptions, referrals, or anything urgent, your GP is who you need.
Calibre replaces private GPs or specialists you would consult for proactive health needs.
Is my data secure, and how is it handled?
We are privacy-first by design, and our data practices are built to meet the latest UK data protection and GDPR standards. We follow CQC-regulated policies that apply to UK clinical care providers.
Your health data is only accessible to you and your clinical team. It is not shared beyond that without your explicit consent, except where legally required.
